Good News丨Petroleum Exploration and Development achieves SCI impact factor of 8.0, ranking first in Petroleum Engineering for four consecutive years

On June 18, Clarivate Analytics released the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) of 2024. Petroleum Exploration and Development achieved an impact factor of 8.0, marking an 11% increase from its 2023 score of 7.2 and setting a new high among global petroleum engineering journals. The journal maintains Q1 rankings in the categories of Petroleum Engineering, Geosciences, and Energy & Fuels. It has ranked first for four consecutive years among petroleum engineering SCI journals, and ranked 13th among 258 Geosciences SCI journals, up 2 places from 2023. The papers published in the journal are cited by approximately 200 global SCI journals, with the total number of citations increasing from 8,376 in 2023 to 9,644. The journal receives contributions from authors in 37 countries and has readers in 127 countries, with its international academic influence continuing to grow.
