In the 2016 Journal Citation Reports (JCR) (http://www.webofknowledge.com/) released in June 13, 2017, the Impact Factor of Petroleum Exploration and Development is 1.903, which is ranked second among all the SCI journals in the category of Petroleum Engineering and ranked in Q2 area in the category of Geosciences. According to statistics released by the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China in October 12, 2016, the 2015 impact factor of Petroleum Exploration and Development is 3.797 and has kept the first place for four consecutive years in all the Chinese scientific journals. The journal has been awarded “Certificate of 100 Outstanding Academic Journals of China” for thirteen times. It has been awarded “Internationally Most Influential Academic Journal of China” for five years consecutively.
